3rd Edition

1- The Test

 

It will be held on May 16 and 17, 2020, inside the Autodromo Internacional de Termas de Rio Hondo, Province of Santiago del Estero, Argentine Republic.
The Test will be disputed regardless of the climatic conditions, and the Director of the same may suspend, postpone it and / or interrupt it temporarily or definitively, if the prevailing conditions are such that the physical integrity of the athletes is jeopardized or for any other reason of force majeure.
The test will begin at 10 hours on saturday, May 16 for 6 and 24 hs; 12hs will be in night mode and start at 20hs, the latter will end at 8 hours on Sunday, May 17 and by 24hs in the hours of 10 am.

Athletes will be ranked taking into account the number of kilometers traveled during the 24, 12, 6 hours duration of the competition.
It will be overseen by a National Athletics Judge, who will have assistants for better control.

1.1Circuit.
The circuit is framed within the Autodromo, more properly said in the Boxes sector and straight adjacent to the sector that has a width of 16.20m, the asphalt of it is smooth and flat of the highest quality in the country (AC-30 and AM3), similar to the circuit of Abu-Dhabi. This sector measures 1500 meters, is measured and certified according to IAAF standards, has two curves with a turning radius of 22m at the end of each line.
The entire route will be signposted and only vehicles from the organization can be moved (it is closed to traffic).

The circuit will have 6 chemical baths distributed 3 (three) in the lap area and 3 (three) at the end of the pit straight. It also has a shower and bathroom sector for attendees.

 



2 – Participants

 

They will be able to participate in the competitive test 24, 12, 6 hours, people of both sexes, of any nationality, over 18 years.

2.1-Medical Certificate: 
"IT IS MANDATORY" to present the medical certificate on the day of kit withdrawal without exception, which may not be older than 3 months per day of the competition, where it is explicitly stated that the athlete is physically trained to perform such competition , 24hs, 12hs or 6hours competitive according to this inscribed and explaining if you are taking any medicines, if you are allergic to any or are being treated for a specific problem.
If the athlete has the need to ingest any type of medicine, he or she should give notice to the organization and show the corresponding medical order.
Likewise, every runner will have insurance for the duration of the test.

Note: Anyone who does not present the relevant medical certificate/disclaimer will not be allowed to participate in the event.
The medical service together with the race director may withdraw from the competition any runner who, in his opinion and professional knowledge understands that he is not in a position to continue the race with health risk.

2.3- Disclaimer:
All participants must present signed a disclaimer and an authorization for the test organization to use the images generated during the course of the test.

 



3- Identification and distance control

 

Each participant of the competitive mode: 24hs, 12hs, 6hs, will receive an identification number or bib number, which must be worn on the front of their clothing throughout the race.
The identification number or bib number, is mandatory, non-transferable and its correct placement depends on the accuracy in the control of the distance traveled.

The lap control shall be recorded by computer chip.
Partial results of the competition will be published every 1 (one) hour and will be available to be consulted by athletes and/or technical assistants, a constant update will also be available through the website of the chiping company.  No results may be requested from the checkpoint outside of those published.

Claims: all, without exception, must be made once the race is over.

 



4- Competition mode

 

There will be three modalities of competence, which will take place on the same circuit.

4.1- 24 Hours
In this modality, each athlete will be ranked by the distance traveled by himself throughout the race. It will start at 10 hours on may 16, 2020 and end at 10 hours on Sunday, May 17, 2020.

4.2- 12 Hours
In this modality, each athlete will be ranked by the distance traveled by himself throughout the race. It will start at 20 hours on May 16, 2020 and end at 8 hours on May 17, 2020.

4.3- 6 Hours
In this modality, each athlete will be ranked by the distance traveled by himself throughout the race. It will start at 10 hours on May 16, 2020 and end at 16 hours of the same day.

 

 



5- Registrations

 

Registrations must be made through the Facebook page "Ultramaraton Termas de Rio Hondo" or through the website www.ultramaratontermas.com.ar completing the form available on it for this purpose.

5.1-Enrollment values according to each modality and payment methods.
24 Hours:
Until February 21/20… $6500.-Extranejros u$s120.
From February 22 to April 30/20 $7500.-Foreigners u$135.-

12 Hours:
Until February 21/20… $4000.- Foreigners u$70.-
From February 22nd to April 30th/20th $5000.- Foreigners u$85.-

6 Hours: 
Until February 21/20 $2500.- Foreigners u$40.-
From February 22nd to April 30th/20th $3500.- Foreigners $60.-

Payment methods:

Once the bank deposit has been made, the proof of the deposit must be scanned and sent via email to: ultramaratontermas@gmail.com or By WhatsApp at 385-5949513/
Payment can be made in dollars.

An online payment system will be enabled to be able to do so through easy payment system and by credit card.

 



6- Categories

 

Test participants will be grouped into the following categories:

6.1 Mode: 24 hours, 12 hours and 6 hours

  • Male General
  • Women's General

Ethereal stripes according to the following detail:

Male and female

  • 18 to 24 years old
  • 25 to 29 years old
  • 30 to 34 years old
  • 35 to 39 years old
  • 40 to 44 years old
  • 45 to 49 years old
  • 50 to 54 years old
  • 55 to 59 years old
  • 60 to 64 years
  • 65 to 69 years old
  • 70 and more.

 



7- Medical assistance

 

The Organization will make available to athletes a permanent medical service that will have an ambulance, four bets in different areas of the track throughout the development of the test.

Kinesiological care and therapeutic massages will also be available for athletes who require it.

The medical officer of the test may, in its sole discretion, request that any athlete undergo an examination in order to determine their physical condition at any time during the course of the competition, having absolute authority, without appeal possible, to determine whether or not the participant in question is in a position to continue the test, and may force the athlete to leave, temporary (who will be attended to in the boxer) or definitively from the competition (if the athlete leaves the circuit to be taken by the ambulance to the hospital, will not be able to return is considered out of competition).

 



8- Food and hydration

 

Feeding and hydration stations will be available at the service of athletes throughout the development of the test. These positions will feature:
Water, isotonic drinks, Coca Cola, various fruits, quince sweet, cereals, salted foods, broths, pastas, snacks, hot drinks, etc. There will also be 2 hot meals in the 24-hour test (lunch and dinner).

For the purposes of a correct organization from this edition it is made clear that in the supply area will not be able to remain people outside those designated by the organization, while in the sector determined as a closed park, each athlete will be allowed to be allowed receive assistance from the person designated as an authorized assistant.

In case of non-compliance with any of the guidelines expressly mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the TEST DIRECTOR shall have the authority to exclude the participant upon prior warning of such an attitude.

-Kit Delivery

 

The delivery of kits will take place on Friday, May 15 from 18:00 to 21:00 hours in the MUSEUM OF THE AUTODROMO DE TERMAS DE RIO HONDO. An exclusive Carbohydrate dinner will be available for runners from 9 p.m.

The Runner Kit will consist of a reminder T-shirt, race accessories, the official identification number and the timing chip that must be placed in the shoe according to instructions.

The delivery of Kits will be made in exchange for the delivery of the following items:
• The declaration, authorization of use of image and deslinde of signed responsibility.
• Medical Certificate
• Identification display attesting to being the holder of the registration.

Reminder Shirt: the choice of the t-shirt size will be subject to stock and no size changes will be made once the kit is removed, so it is recommended to remove the kits as early as possible.

 



10- Award

 

All participants will receive a "Finisher" medal along with a T-shirt that highlights the completion of the test.

Medallions will be awarded to the top 3 (three) in each of the general and age categories, male and female in the 24, 12 and 6 hour modalities.

 

 


 

11 – Personal technical assistants.

 

Each athlete may have a technical assistant in order to collaborate with the runner in carrying out their career logistics.
Athletes will be entitled to the use of a circuit box approximately every 10 participants, this number being modified by request of runners or decision of the organization, this in order to have a place to have their belongings to be used during the competition. Each box has toilets for the use of the attendees, as well as lighting and electric current for any use of both the participant and their attendees
In the event that an athlete has more than one technical assistant, only one of them can be bordered by the circuit at any given time.

11-1– Each athlete must inform the relevant Judge or Test Director when using a box for their break, and must also inform when they enter the track again to continue the competition. If this clause is missing, it will not be taken into account for the final classification.

11.2- Sanctions: The runner may only receive assistance in the supply sector or change clothes at the place designated for this purpose, if he receives assistance outside these areas he will be disqualified.

Any type of accompaniment during the race on and off the circuit is strictly prohibited and there will be no reason to authorize it.

Runners can only leave the circuit in the supply sector, in the pit sector and medical service sector, prior notice to the Test Director or assigned for this purpose.

Any runner who throws rubbish or any element that interferes with the nature of the place will be sanctioned and will be struck immediately if repeated.

 



12- Reservation of rights

 

The Test Organization has the right to modify all or part of the provisions of this regulation until the day before the commencement of competition, without any claim.
